I think the resolution is more limited by the output of the camera. I would think the new LCD would just be bigger but the same Res.

I'd expect it to be identical to the EVF, though it should be around 1280x848y pixels.

I just called the BOMB Quad and was explained that it is not yet available.

I think even 720p native on 7" is awesome. And we have something really nice in petto for you all waiting for this babe to arrive

Same resolution. Pretty much everything else is different. Over twice the brightness (you can see the display clearly in direct sunlight), far wider viewing angle, the colors looks amazing. It also has a special, scratch-resistant protective acrylic sheet, with anti-reflective coating over the front, and a full metal case.

And no banding whatsoever!

What are the color, brightness and contrast controls like on this verses the existing LCD? Do either have knobs or only menu controls? How about stored settings so you can have one setup for indoor, outdoor, sunset outdoor, daylight? Is this already in another post I could not find?

Sorry, I don't know the specifics on the arm. The internals ont he 5.6" is the same.

The 7" is now my favorite monitor.
