  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Here's Sean exiting on the 2nd jump. It's a 2K H.264, sorry about the gamma thing. The only thing that clipped was the sun - all of the sky detail and white detail on the plane is there... including the dark inside of the cabin.

Check it out... :)

I'll cut the rest of the footage into a fun little reel and post it this weekend.

These guys are top-notch... it gets no better. It was a treat to jump with them and get it all in 4K.

The work showed it...that shot was AWESOME!
 
Wow... as always, much respect to you Brook. Absolutely beautiful shot, I can only imagine the sequence when it's done.

I know you've been looking forward to getting this accomplished for some time.

Brook, thats fantastic stuff man. Was that out of Temecula? I recognized March Air Reserve Base in the background.
 
I know this has been discussed before, but what is the technical cause of the dark dot in the center of the sun? Is it an issue of the sensor to enormous overexposure?

Apparently it is (has been referred to as a "sensor protect" feature). It was much more prevalent on the earlier builds. Apparently it has been reduced, but is not yet gone.
 
THAT's the shot!

I was going to mention a fascinating skydiving shot I saw a few years ago ....where a camera guy was looping around the skydiver...then you go posting this...
