  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED ONE M-X Sensor Upgrade Program

I think I posted in another thread...but simple answer is no. We need to get through the first few batches of people wanting to upgrade M-X. That will let us know how quickly people pay for the upgrade once contacted, send them in, etc. Until we have a little history behind us on this, any estimate now would be a shot in dark.

We feel very confident in this program and how efficient we will be, rest assured.

So here it is...

If you buy a RED ONE today... you can upgrade to an EPIC S35 Brain ONLY and receive $17,500 credit. You can also upgrade this RED ONE to the new M-X sensor (wait your turn in line) and later trade it in on an EPIC S35 Brain only, and still receive $17,500 credit.

do you ship the Red One in the near future with the new M-X-Sensor? Or will be always an upgrade necessary?

We dont know the details of the Scarlet S35 yet
But it looks like that the Scarlet S35 (bigger sensor) could be superior than the Red One. Will the Scarlet S35 replace the Red One...

Brent said earlier today that they would eventually ship with the new sensor, but not until every Red One waiting for an upgrade got one.

This means it could be three months or three years, no date set.



"A new RED ONE with a M-X sensor in it will not be sold by RED until all existing RED ONE owners have had the opportunity to upgrade to M-X. No estimated date.

Can you clarify the following situation:

If I sell my 6606 Red One (purchased August) to someone today and they do the transfer properly, what upgrade options for Epic would this camera then have? The wording in the original announcement (attached) is a bit confusing and can possibly be interpreted in multiple ways. The camera was purchased and paid for before Oct 29. The owner would be a second owner. Does the transfer have to have been done by Oct 29? Thanks in advance for calrification.

I will upgrade to MX on my R1 but with the bundle...so I would like
to purchase and receive my RedRocket now before I receive my upgrade
invite. Could I pay for the bundle price now, receive my RedRocket and just send my R1 in when my number is up for my upgrade?
Just want to get started with my Rocket.

Am I right in asuming that with the bundle you still get 1 1250 credit when going for Epic and keeping your R1?
