  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED ONE M-X Sensor Upgrade Program

Apart from my MX'd red that arrived shooting images with green lines through them, and was sent straight back and has been there with RED for a week, with no repair, that's not inspiring for a camera that was MX''d 3 weeks ago and hasn't shot a usable second of footage....sorry to put a downer on the thread but it's hard to stomach when i read about cameras being turned around in days and nothing happening to mine., i just lost a 13 week rental on it the day it arrived, and i'm losing every day it's sat there.

Dear Bob,

I believe our problem is an exception, not the rule.

I understand it was a QC oversight that allow that MX chip to passed, and they are working on it.

This thread is not the place for this, let's talk on Tuesday when we have more info from RED?

I am sure the RMA team is on it.

It's a Holiday weekend here now.

I will follow up with the RMA and MX team on Tuesday.

I am sure they are working hard on it.

Thanks

Michael T.

EDIT: Ok, now I am confused. I do not show that your camera has been MX'ed in the first place? Please email me to clear this up.

Hello Brent, I believe Bob is talking about RMA #SOr-008091

Please give me call if you have more info on this RMA?

Thanks Brent

Michael T.

Hmm, I had a different understanding and it has nothing to do with the MX sensor. Anyways, yes, better to discuss Tue when our whole team is back in the office. As always, we will get everything sorted out.

RED 1793 was sent from Dubai to RED in USA, upgraded to Mysterium X and returned within a week. Pretty amazing turn around

RED998 thought she was going on vacation at HQ, when she was quickly woken up and told that her eyes were done. Approx 4-5 days

RED998 is now proudly MX ready to play. She is headed to Toronto.

Just a friendly reminder...

Email blasts go out to the owner on file based on delivery date. If anyone has any questions please feel free to email me bfair-at-red-dot-com

Thanks,

Please, PLEASE, please - when you receive the "Your camera is eligible for M-X upgrade" email, do not just send in your camera. You MUST wait until you have been assigned an RMA number by the M-X team. Remember, the M-X upgrade facility is not located at the RED Lake Forest headquarters. You send a camera there, you send it to the wrong place.

I know it is a long email when you are notified, but do read the whole thing. If you do not follow the guidelines therein, it only makes it more complicated for everyone involved and adds delays to the process.

M-X in the house! #1544 (delivered May 27, '08) just came back from a short trip to Red (sent Thursday the 27th, received today the 9th). Pretty fast considering two weekends and a holiday in there. Awesome job Red team! You are always a pleasure to work with!
