  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED ONE M-X Sensor Upgrade Program

No new RED ONE with MX until after everyone with an existing RED ONE has been offered the MX sensor upgrade.

BC

Based on the current pace of upgrade, how long would you guess it will be before all 7500 Red One cameras have been offered a chance to MX upgrade.

It would seem to the outsider that this process could take the rest of the year ... or more.

FYI all, #1256, delivered in May of 2008, has just been called up.

#1740's original delivery date was April 21st 2008, and MX upgraded and delivered May 20th 2010.
And their turn around time was just speedy 4 days, it's amazing.
My friends #1950's had an email on May 19th 2010

RED # 1888 just got notified. Shipped June 2008.

#791 arrived yesterday in Kansas City. They are really blowing these things out!

Thanks, RED!

That's the 5h1t I'm talkin' about!!! Team Red is kicking a$$!

Welcome, Dylan. I know this was a hard choice for you. You'll never regret it. It's like having a whole new camera, yo!

Red received #1297 Tuesday. The camera has returned with its new sensor and is ready for customs clearance.

Unbelievable turnaround!

Thanks so much John R & RED!

Wow! That's crazy fast!

Our team has really been busting their ass on every level. I could not be more proud of the progress we have made.

This is the kind of feedback that makes all the hard work and long hours worth it.

Thanks,
Brian

Apart from my MX'd red that arrived shooting images with green lines through them, and was sent straight back and has been there with RED for a week, with no repair, that's not inspiring for a camera that was MX''d 3 weeks ago and hasn't shot a usable second of footage....sorry to put a downer on the thread but it's hard to stomach when i read about cameras being turned around in days and nothing happening to mine., i just lost a 13 week rental on it the day it arrived, and i'm losing every day it's sat there.

Email me at brent - at - red - dot - com so I can look into it.

EDIT: Ok, now I am confused. I do not show that your camera has been MX'ed in the first place? Please email me to clear this up.
