Hi there,

I'm facing a rather annoying problem. I did color correction on an entire project with REDCine, while my editor was editing the raw data on another workstation.
Now I got the project from him, and expected Premiere to just read my metadata but it sticks with the old un-corrected look. Even if I go to master settings and ask it to reload the RMD, noting happens. At best, Premiere crashes.
This isn't the first time it's happening to me.
Do any of you guys know of a solution?

Think this is happening to me too :(

I shot and graded in RedCine X (build 50 beta) using IPP2. And when I opened up the r3ds in Premiere Pro CC it wasn't reading the updated rmds I made in RedCine X (I checked and they were indeed where they should be), Premiere Pro went to the default Dragon Color 2/RG4 instead...
So maybe IPP2 isn't supported in Premiere Pro yet-unless you stick with RedWideGammutRGB/3g10 and plug in the LUTS from February???

Guys.... IPP2 is beta.....

The 3rd Party SDK isn't finished from anybody's end yet.

I have bit of struggle with this as well I think. but in resolve....

By mistake we complicated things quite a bit.

Simply started to conform some long format RWGRGB files in resolve 12.5.01.34 and then exported project, our colorists then got the project and source and sat for 2 weeks grading... apparently using Resolve 12.5.5 / a later version but on older OSx, he used ElCapitan and we started with older resolve but newer OS X / Sierra. Now his grade looks great on his machine but we need to move back to our machine to insert VFX clips, end titles etc into the resolve timeline. and then render.... Now when we bring project back and even if we upgrade to the same version of resolve... it looks different then it does on his machine. But if he gives us a freshly made resolve project that originated on his machine then it looks fine also on our sierra machine. So simply going from older generation sierra then over to never resolve premiere in Elcapitan and then move to same new version of resolve but on sierra, viola you got a major color change....

Not sure if it comes with the RWGRGB / r3d files or if it´s a thing related to the crazy jumparound.... In retrospect one could quite easily say that keep all machines on the same version, we though we where and did not even check... well next time :)

same problem

same problem

I have the same problem,
I am editing Red Dragon files in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017,
i choose the clip i want to correct, right click --> "edit original"
the the clips opens into REDCINE-X pro
i make my metadata correction on redcine-X pro... then i close it , and come back to premiere... and the clip are the same of before. (some months ago it automatically changed correctly !!!)

NOTE : if I open again the clip in redcine-X pro the clip, I can see that it have the correct metadata correction i did...

Please help me to solve the problem
thank you very much guys !

I too have noticed that it's not updating automatically as it used to. It seems to do it sometimes if I close/reopen premiere. But, opening the clip properties and reloading RMD does work, just on a clip-by-clip basis.
