By Guillaume Cornet
00:00-00:40 - Intro
00:40-01:11 - RED Apple Workflow
01:11-01:42 - Importing the footage
01:42-03:48 - Checking your r3d raw settings, Color space, and Gamma
03:48-04:31 - Apply the RED IPP2 camera LUT
04:31-06:00 - Create Proxies (recommended)
06:00-09:19 - The right way to do any color correction (Most important thing to take away)
09:19-10:23 - Demo footage
10:23-12:01 - Conclusion
The majority of people in this world are biased to the point they are unable to function properly. It's the main course behind all conflicts everywhere. People cannot, at all, look at facts or use unbiased rational reasoning. Even scientists who learn how to bypass those human flaws in their own research can pose extreme bias in areas outside of that research.
And after the pandemic hit and I've seen how people discuss around it, which is a scientific topic, it's clear that I can conclude most people to be idiots. Finding people who try really hard to be unbiased, every time, at any moment, is like finding a unicorn. It's not something people learn in school, no one is given those tools in life to view things with a rational eye. Everyone instead learns to value their own opinion as truth.
And I absolutely hate that this world is stuck in the stone ages of rational thought.
I would like all schools to rather skip all current curriculums and primarily focus on rational thought, training students to view everything in life unbiased. It's getting epistemic responsibility to the max and would fix a lot of problems in the world today.
Danny,
Thanks for posting your video here. Unfortunately I don't have a HLG HDR monitor/TV to actually be able to verify that your settings are correct. But on my computer monitor the blacks are black and there is a lot of color to the image.
