  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED in Sweden

Är det någon som vet var jag kan få tag på Gretag Macbeth color checker charts!? Gärna om någon kan rekommendera någon resolution charts också! :)
 
Maybe if you post in English you can get an answer faster since 99% of the people on this site dont read Swedish since its a very tiny language with only 8-9 million on the planet who get it.

Planerar att köpa in en RED i framtiden till företaget, men är intresserad av att träffa någon som äger en RED och snacka lite, få en kort demostration av kameran, lite FAQ osv. Finns det någon här i Sverige som skulle kunna ställa upp på det? Eller om det dras ihop någon träff igen så kanske man kan snacka med folk där. Skulle verkligen uppskattas!

Jo det är sant. Är det någon som vet någon som är duktig man ska vända sig till? Eller ifall någon känner sig manad att hyra ut sig själv och sin kära leksak?
 
Try this guy, "dmartos" he is here on the site and also based in Sweden and Canary Islands...He has good gear, is cheap, and extremely helpful and knowledgable...For all you get from a deal with him no one to my knowledge can beat it.

It will be like taking a crash course plus you can make a little reel for yourself.

Don`t waste your time with the rental houses they charge an arm and a leg and are not very helpful IMHO.

Also if you use english when posting you may reach an entire community. Alot of Englsih speakers in Sweden from all over the world. These people I find to be very open and helpful.

To be fair, there are a lot of people renting here, make a list of your needs, and check around to see who best fulfills them for the price point.

The reason why our rates are so low is partly because working with Red is always a pleasure and we've become addicted to its picture quality and rewarding nature. So much so that we take the camera out of the city on our free days and have fun gathering wild-photography stock footage for use in future projects while we throughly test camera, lenses and rest of equipment as well as post-production workflow with different formats and settings.

Igår fick jag rods+breakoutbox och en O´connor dovetail från element technica. Om ni inte har deras tillbehör ännu, så gör en beställning direkt! ;) Jäkligt fin kvalle på alltihopa. Grymt imponerad.. Rodsen känns barnsligt lätta jämfört med Reds egna.

dmartos ligger förresten uppe på red4k.se nu också!

I was talking to Peter Karlsson the other day and he suggested that we get together for a pow wow next week. I think it's a great idea to get to know each other - those who already have REDs, those who have ordered their REDs and those who have no RED, haven't ordered, but are just interested in the whole thing. Along with playing with at least my and Peter's two REDs, we can talk about workflow, lenses, what gear to get, ordering stuff together and colaborating in other ways. We'll get together on Friday June 6 at 3pm at Peter's studio - Brännkyrkagatan 103B. T-Bana to Zinkensdamm. PM me or Peter (peter_cgs) if you'd like to come!
