Hey all...

I went to upgrade my Epic W to the latest firmware to get the new color science - monitoring; etc.

Problem is - NOTHING has changed - aside from the camera telling me I have the latest firmware.

No Boot Screen. No Image Menu. No Legacy or IPP2 option. Nothing RED Advertises on their tutorial video. Just - an option for 3 different IPP2 overlays in the LUT Menu.

I have verified it is the latest firmware.

I cannot force another update.

I have tried - 4 times - to reset the camera to factory defaults to try again - but the camera just powers down when I do - and all it has done is erase my Sensor Calibrations. My choice for On Media LUT remains selected - however - which was the IPP2.

Have I done something wrong?

I just unzipped the new Firmware - put it on the top directory of my Red Mini Mag - and then powered on the camera.

Thanks!

- Mike

Update - was finally able to force it back to 6.3.98 - But I still have NONE of the new features they advertise - including the new menu structure - etc.

Am I missing something?

How do I get to the new IPP2 option under Mode when it is not an option - or to the Image Menu?

Thanks!

Found my answer after extensively searching other posts.

Needed a different build - I couldn't find on my own. Woohoo.

6.3 are release builds
6.4 with IPP2 features are still beta builds

Both are available from red.com (release / beta tab on FW download page) but it is recommended you do some tests, more tests and re-test again everything if you plan on using a beta build on a real shoot.
