  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

It would be nice to see a side by side comparison of DR between EPIC M and EPIC Dragon. Same still, different DR. I have not seen that yet and would love to!!!

Sure... But my guess is that we all just have to lube up our patience for direct comparative shots, until the camera is actually released, out of beta and ready for those kind of tests.

As far as I understand this from Tom and Peter, they are literally tweaking the hardware and software on a daily basis.

It is just too soon, and conclusions drawn will be premature...

But I can see the itch... :)
 
I agree with Gunleik. I think the only valuable side-by-side comparison is when the Dragon's color science is finalized. Otherwise, we can see improvements over the MX, but not the real extra that the Dragon is capable of acquiring and present.

It is important to understand that as any digital entity, the 0's & 1's will mean something based on an algorithm that will translate it. Without the final one, the image will not be representative of all its capabilities (both in accuracy and in depth)
