  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED DAY Vegas 2010 - REGISTRATION OPEN

I'm hoping there will be a detailed schedule for the day. I may need to make some choices regarding specific time slots.

Agree. Is there a schedule available? I'm in Vegas for two days and as much as I love RED and RED DAY - I don't want to be at the Tropicana for 12 hours. And I never got a confirmation on registration - is that not happening this year?

Looking into it.

I registered right after the site opened up. Site said thanks and see me in Vegas. If there was any confirmation beyond that, I never got it.

I was assuming that was all normal...

Ditto here...

BTW, I'm really looking forward to this! Steve and Red put on a way cool event every year

I don't want to plan your day, but I encourage you to spend as much of it at the event as you can. Things will be a bit different this year. More details to follow.....

I can't guarantee you won't miss some cool stuff. Your choice whether you have other things to do.

Everyone that has asked whether they are registered, are indeed on the list. I believe that the confirmation you are seeing on the web page is THE confirmation. Jason Ramsey can jump in and correct me if I'm wrong. Last year, I sent out email confirmations.

Don't worry about it guys, you'll get in. Registering is a courtesy to us, as it gives us an approximate head count (which translates to proper amount of food for you guys), and it also gets you a free raffle ticket, and allows us to put you in touch with RED related 3rd party sponsors if you choose to do so. Everyone gets in this year. No cap. If 10,000 people show up, you'll find me at the airport catching a flight out of town to avoid the hotel and fire marshals. But you guys can party all you want. :-)

So, bring your friends, bring your relatives, bring your wife(wives), bring your pets (ok, don't do that, I'm allergic), bring whoever you want. We're gonna have a blast!

I want to be a part of red day 2010 Las Vegas! What's the procedure please?

I love the platonic feeling when see lot's of amazing projects inside domes... and can not have it! (now) :)

thanks!!

Felipe

Decided to make a plunge and registered.
Never had a chance to meet you all, but this time it looks too tempting.
relying on your experience, what works best with your wife as an excuse?

Cheers

I usually just start talking tech to her and watch her eyes glaze over to the point where she could care less where I am going as long as I shut up. That always seems to work well :-)

Tell her it's a meeting of fellow business professionals that could border on drudgery. Of course it could be the biggest blast in Vegas but you can leave that out :)

Or you could just bring her along

In my situation, knowing that the wife hates Vegas anyway... It wasn't too tough to just invite her along and then she uses the kids as an excuse to not go.

Hope she doesn't read Reduser. :nono:
