All these placeholder posts are driving me nuts !

It means we all have to scroll back and forth thru the thread looking for edited posts.

REQUEST : can you please post new pics at the end of the thread as well as in your placeholder post ???

And one more pre-Event interview with Ted:
EDIT: Due to a number of requests, we have decided to offer the video in spite of the intermittent interference in the audio. If you don't like the video, you don't have to tell me that it stinks. I'm actually not uploading it for you...only the ones who wanted to see it in spite of it's flaws. :) http://vimeo.com/10921200 is the link, and as I type this it still has a few minutes left to encode. Hopefully everything loads properly...if not, I will fix it in about 6 hours. In the meantime, I am taking a nap... :) Enjoy!

It might have sounded like Ted said that you could control playback with the Redmote... again, he is doing a zillion interviews, and keeping track of piles of specs for many different products... but that would be interesting if true, and I suppose it would mean you might be able to control playback from the mounted media through Wi-Fi (using the proper module)...? probably not the case, but at times it would be very cool for a small crew... it will be interesting to see how much the Redmote can do once it is finished!

This shot looks like a prize fighter coming out the locker room flanked with his corner men. Look at the Jim's face. "Momma said knock you out" :)

In the climax of the cage fight Jim pulls out an EPIC and smash the skull of Big Sonnie.

:emote_hanged:

Wait... What ?! Red HMI ?!!!

So what's next ? A dolly ? A crane ? A steadicam ? An affordable Briese light ?

Yeah that caused me the WTFs as well.

An other one by Joseph and Zac:

Jim Jannard, founder of RED Digital Cinema, was so gracious to us to video him demonstrating the 5K EPIC. As well as allowing us to be one of the firs to record footage on the EPIC.

See here... http://vimeo.com/10940788

Oops. This was Joseph who didn't sign out of Zac's account...

Missed NAB this year. Was planning on coming today. HD DSLR equipment is taking off. Red nailed it with the Epic. It looks more like a Canon 1DS or Nikon 3 DS. It is the form factor that is easy to shoot with, and use accessories built for the emerging HD DSLR market. A huge emerging market of millions of cameras worldwide. RED, of course, has RAW recording, lossless compression, very high frame rates, and 5K recording - all in this in a tiny camera.

Very cool. Just reserved an Epic.

What an awesome show today. I just got back home and will be looking over some of the higher quality pics that Justin took. Just an amazing moment. I also have an interview with Ted we filmed.. will upload it very soon.
