Vast improvement.
Was the elimination of a link to REDUser deliberate?

Looking at the specs force me to ask a couple of questions.
There is no indication in the EPIC section (Monitoring) referring to the wireless monitoring on an iPad using the proxy module. Do I just need to dig deeper? Or is my memory faulty?

When I am looking at the specs for REDRAY, I'm seeing the SSD as input listed but which size will it be? 1.8"?
Also, please, please, please add a single HDSDI output to the monitoring section on REDRAY! Whether on-set, staging a corporate show, large venue projection, or too many other situations to list, being able to hook up standard HDSDI monitors or test equipment without going to an HDMI -> HDSDI adapter would be a real plus. Especially if you can black out the program and use monitoring as a preview in a show environment.

And, wish list item for REDRAY: a fibre interface.

I know I've drifted slightly off topic - but having the specs in one updated location is the best thing I've seen since HDRx was posted. Oh, that was quite recent too.
Great work!

Am I the only one who finds it odd that there are tons of raving quotes about how amazing RED looks but no RED footage anywhere to be found (or at least identified as such) on the entire website?

For a company selling a camera on its image quality you would think they would actually show it off at some point somewhere on the website.

As it stands it's a lot of spreadsheets and product shots.

No doubt if we did, you'd find something to criticize about that too. :)

Since this thread is in regards to the new site redesign, I have to ask. What happened to the Website Competition thread?

I agree did it go down?

PS. Love the new layout.

Deanan, with all due respect, I don't think Gavin was talking about the normal
request for Epic and Scarlet footage you guys get all the time. But rather for
really awesome examples from films, videos, and other things shot on Red to
showcase how good Red footage can really look and resolve.

Obviously, your market is "pros" who has access/knowledge if such clips
elsewhere -- BUT never hurts to showcase some of the amazing things that
have been done on Red cameras to this point. (If you can get permission,
which I suspect you can -- given the good will you have in the industry.)

Not a criticism, just my two cents :lipsrsealed:

Love the new website - much more user friendly. I pretty much set up my red account with extreme ease.

You're obviously unaware of just how difficult it is to get clearance to exhibit even stills from studio pictures and network television programs. There are a LOT of issues with that, everything from digital distribution agreements to actors' contractual kill rights. It only seems simple if you're never had to be involved in doing it.

And "good will" doesn't count for anything in that area.

Jarred and crew, nice work on the new design...

Ya know, there is a law for revamping a website: You must release all announced products within the same year. ;-)

Hope to visit RED Studios again soon...

I'm sorry to disagree with some of you, the design looks ok. But as a graphic designer i totally DON'T dig the gasmask at the bottom of the page. Makes the page look like a teenager's Myspage page. REALLY!

this gas-mask has nothing to do with anything, and it has to be on every page? why don't you put an awesome quote there?

The Scarlet info under "Press" says, "a burst rate up to 120fps." Scarlet was previously specced to run at up to 120 fps continuously, with a maximum burst rate of 150 fps. Is this a mistake or an actual change in the specs? Can we have clarification, please? Elsewhere, Deanan mentioned "150fps (higher at 2k)" as a "pro" of Scarlet. This seems to imply a 150-fps rate at full 3K and higher windowed frame rates.
