Looks cool.

Small thing: the link on the store homepage for Red Wear links to accessories...

Great looking site!

There are only some difficulties with the pop-ups in some browsers.
They are bigger then some screens, so half of the information can't be read.
Maybe resizeble pop-ups? Or make the scrolbar at the right also control the pop-up when you click it.

I'm just pointing it out, to help.

Glad to see the site finally updated!
Question, why is Redcine-X on the support page still 262 (even if it is listed as beta)? Shouldn't it be 340?

The last beta build of REDCINE-X was Build 262. Build after that have been alpha builds posted only on REDUSER. We have in the works a page for RED.com for alpha "test at your own risk" builds...

another small thing

another small thing

Still showing that 64gig CF card.

Gotta razz ya, cause we could really use a 64+ CF or SSD option for the underwater stuff - want to eliminate the size and heat of the REDDRIVE.

Any word on the SSD module?

some feedback:

Took a long time to load (on a 100mbps connection).

Doesn't fit my browser... my browser must be at least 1280px wide and I still get a scrollbar. I would add some code to get rid of the horizontal scroller and center the site.

Looks great, nice to see Scarlet there, not too long we hope.

Like the learn aspect with Ted, a real gent.

When Scarlet arrives, it would be good to have information and guidance for us corporate guys moving across from the HD sphere EX1Rs etc, to the red code, on the best way to set up work flows and camera settings etc,

l really appreciate RED is about high end TV & movies using EPIC, but once SCARLET arrives the mid stream corporate guys like myself, which l know there are masses worldwide, would welcome best practice examples as per Ted and any advice RED would like to pass on. Adobe and FCP have some great examples of best practice videos.

We don't all make movies or pop videos but do do the bread and butter work, in a year l produce time wise in excess 6 hollywood movies a year of corporate work, the Scarlet is the camera that will take the image that much higher within the same budget.

would look even better if there was an "add to cart" button next to scarlet and epic, but otherwise a step in the right direction!

my account is open and I'm ready to buy ... unleash the beasts plz !

IMO, too much information for an opening page. And for the Epic section or Scarlet section, I would have put a single picture of the "Epicore" and Scarlet brain with a teaser saying "See some of the trillion ways you can configure it!" so the viewer will be curious and go deeper. Then add layers of interconnected links that tempt a viewer to explore all other aspects of the site. Like an (ahem) "web."

And that picture of the RED One? Looks chromed. Put it back to its actual color so the viewer doesn't feel duped. Other than that? I'm not very impressed. It's cookie-cutter-ish.

EDIT: But that's just me.:ciappa:

Might want to fix typo in Jim's quote at the bottom of the EPIC page. I believe the last word in the quote should be "conceived" with a "d" at the end.

Sorry, it's the writer in me that picks that stuff up.

tech specs

tech specs

Hmm.. In the tech specs for Epic "temperature ranges" says:
Operating Range: 0˚C to +40˚C (32˚F to 104˚F)
Here we've been using Red down to -25C without any problems. Hope that Epic is at least as useable as Red One in this regard...

Was hoping that an update or surprise purchase option for ssd module would show...

Let me say that i a bit unfair and not educational have all those movies on the"Shot On Red "list that actually have just a few shots made on Red (and actually made it for for CG) ...

I am telling this because as a colorist i was trying to do a research to see every movie shot on Red....and what i would like to know/have on the "shot on Red" website list , is a list of movie shot at least 95% on Red....and not Viceversa (as many of those are ...like Jumpers , angels and Demons or Lovely Bones etc...)

that list should have only movies shot at least 95% on Red ...
That would help to see and judge...and RED OBVIOUSLY have nothing to Hide !!!(Social network is great example of 100%...so why confuse people with that Huge List?)
