  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Raven Screen Tear - What do I do???

Here's a few images of what I'm seeing. Working with RED now to get a RMA so the camera can be sent back.

Just got RMA camera is being sent back to RED. Didn't even get a chance to shoot it yet! Good response from the support team at red but very disappointed that a brand new camera right out of the box has to be returned.

Wow that sucks. Keep telling myself that waiting so long for allocation might not be so bad because bugs like this might get resolved in the meantime. Maybe not O_o

Sorry. Thats really dessapointed. i also receive my camera a couple of days ago. They come with the latest firmware and don´t prompt me to make any blackshade. Works fine until now but i barely test it recording a couple of clips. I hope keep performing well.

What serial numbers if I may ask? Starting a feature this week and now I'm a little terrified. Updated and blackshaded two weeks ago with no issue. SN 691

It is really disappointing that this showstopper bug got through RED testing before releasing the FW. I REALLY hope that RED has taken steps to create test cases that will check for this issue in the future (not sure how much of their testing is manual vs automation).

Well if you blackshaded and don't see these things, you should be good to go. If for some reason you see it, just revert to a previous blackshade or factory settings. Then hit up RED ASAP.
