Excuse any apparent ignorance from my part, but what is the /05 part?
I was assuming it was a typo for July. So 29th of 07. But I recognized the name bc it was already in the queue.

How long from your allocation/payment until RED NYC delivery? Was thinking about going that route as well.
I paid in advance and they shipped same night as my allocation email overnight to the store. Figured taking care of the payment processing would help with cutting a few days off the turnaround.

Yeah probably the safe bet, it's my first Red that I've actually owned, but I've been renting and burrowing since the Red One, also I figured a relaxed set on a short film would be a good way for me to break it in practically. Had a Scarlet on the back burner in case things went wrong. It's acutally a little surprising to me that people are using the Raven so soon on productions after receiving it....but I suppose if you used one RED camera the Raven will feel right at home. For me since I've not used a RED camera yet, I plan on spending at least a few weeks with it testing everything out and figuring out my post process.
For some reason, I would have to jiggle the battery to turn on the camera. The DC plug works fine though. I'll have to test it with other batteries when I can get a hold of one. Oh and there is no hex key to screw in the Universal handle; just one for the monitor FYI.
Did you try the little star switch on the top of the v-mount expander?
Heck yeah! 9/29 allocation reported and a new Raven pic in the same day
Andrew - you should have let me know, I woulda stopped by on my lunch break to see you get it in person (kidding) ha! Clark is the man though.
Yeah I set it to the clear star and it works. I did some testing last night and the camera shuts off when I "bump" the battery. So it's definitely a connection issue between the Base I/O expander and the battery. Now the question is, is it the battery or the module? I'll try to borrow some from someone over the weekend. I'm 95% sure it's the battery.
Yeah I've used like 4 different brands of v-mounts (Dyna, Swit etc) on my Raven with no issues - sounds like maybe that battery is a little too big/ doesn't fit properly on the module maybe?

Confirmed this battery on DSMC2. MAXOAK 158WH with charger (also shows %) for $239.99. Fits like a glove. http://www.amazon.com/MAXOAK-10700m...qid=1461433908&sr=8-2&keywords=maxoak+v+mount
I'm guessing the 177wh will fit as well. Same size. http://www.amazon.com/MAXOAK-12000m...qid=1461433908&sr=8-1&keywords=maxoak+v+mount

It's basically the same one this guy has:
The battery fits, I just think it isn't seated correctly or the connectors aren't the greatest. Anyways, for those interested, I PMd Dan and he said he had no issues. I'm returning the battery and going to try another one.
