  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RAVEN Allocation

No doubt. Raven is just a bananas proposition with a bananas sensor inside of it. I like bananas things hahahaha.

Honestly I haven't delivered anything in 4k even tho I shoot most stuff in 6k. (most stuff i work on gets delivered in HD at the end of the day) for me its about my lenses working the way i expect them to.

I guess I'm less concerned about the weapon upgrade and more concerned my camera will have value for trade in for future cameras

yah that $4k could have been used someplace but I wouldnt want it back having worked with the S-W.. its bananas

just out of curiosity, do you only receive a bomb squad rep when you're allocated or when you buy? I have the purchase confirmation e-mail and everything for the raven base i/0 package but wasn't sure when you get a rep. I think I've seen some people on here not allocated that have spoken with their rep so I wasn't sure

When you make the pre order, I'm pretty sure my confirmation email came from my bomb squad rep.
 
Order confirmation was automated system, but a bomb squad rep will be assigned to you and should reach out shortly after placing the order to introduce themselves. Mine contacted me 1 business day after ordering
 
I'm sitting on a very early Raven Package time stamp as well as a very early S-W Package time stamp. Neither have been allocated, no worries so far. I've been tempted a few times to switch the Raven to another S-W, but I've held off. I can see the Raven working nicely with the S-W.

in theory its exactly the same as the Epic dragon just cropped a little. Ive been shooting 5kws dragon and epic since they came out so should be just as beautiful! Im more looking forward to the weight or lack there of :)
 
Any Raven Packages actually shipping this week? Seems crazy that Raven has been shipping for two weeks without having any packages allocated, at least none confirmed.

I think Jarred's April update meant we wouldn't be seeing any packages till manufacturing caught up with projected dates for each accessory. But maybe I read into that wrong.

Hmmmmm. Well Scarlet-W Packages are still being allocated as they planned on having the folks who moved from Raven to Scarlet-W done by the end of this week, until more folks recently switched over.

Anyway, it was stated that Scarlet-W was not priority and that when accessories come in they are used towards both Scarlet-W and Raven Packages, surely some Raven Packages would go out before April 8th if that was the case.

Unless Scarlet-W I/O V Lock Packages are also on hold?

That's actually what I got out of the update was that as the accessories come off the line they would be allocated to Scarlet-W & Raven (not evenly mind you)....so I also expect at least some people to get Raven packages....

all packages are on hold until accessory availability for that package is caught up in the production line, so ALL i/o pkgs, scarlet-w and raven, are delayed to at least april 8th when the vlock expander will again be available. ("caught up")

That cannot be the case since Scarlet-W packages were allocated today, according to April Update page.

i know, i guess i was told wrong information, im utterly confused now. i was even at the red store today and was confirmed the same thing.
maybe down the chain people have very limited knowledge, or maybe this was a big surprise to every one, i really have no answers now.
i really hope some raven pkgs were also allocated because that was the other thing i thought brent made clear that they would be allocated evenly, and he even gave an example that if 10x pkgs were ready, 5 would go to scarlet and 5 would go to raven. im not on the top 5 (anymore) but im hoping a few raven orderers pop up saying they got theirs too. then ill still understand that part…but i was assured no vlock accessories would even be ready to ship until the 8th. crazy, but crazy good!

At least you are in the top 10 on the RU list and would be safe to say your allocation comes before NAB. I am at like #54 now, probably won't get allocated until July or something ridiculous hehe.
