  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RAVEN Allocation

Does the educational discount apply to the Raven body? I was under the impression it's just for accessories/modules/etc?
 
I wonder if the 15% applies to the Raven Package? Or if they split everything up individually.

Yes it applies to the body and accessories. I receive the .edu discount. Brain is 10%, accessories are 15%. It also applies to the packages as well.

It's factored individually - it's not a full 15% off of the package - it's reduced per item if that makes sense. That's exactly what I ordered - the I/O v-mount package.
 
So... was anyone at RED doing the Lord's work yesterday and blasting allocations? lol I don't see anyone posting their emails yet.
 
No no, they don't have any at the moment. They haven't received any either. What I meant is they bought a whole bunch of them and have a direct line to RED because they are a dealer. So instead of someone buying a camera from RED and waiting in the queue, you are buying a camera from their already bought stock pile. Whether you get your camera earlier than if you bought it on RED, I have no clue.

Hmmmm...I am still blown away that you have not been allocated Jordan, so high on the non official list.

you and me both, thought id be allocated on the first day as things seemed to be "on track".
now it's going on 2 weeks later if its not until monday…if that even happens.

If it makes you feel better, I haven't been allocated either, I'm right behind you @ 9:50pm and also a Base I/O Raven
 
I guess I was pretty naive to think I'd get my 11/12/2015 ordered Raven by the end of March. Lesson definitely learned! Should have put that deposit down the moment the camera was announced. Problem is I was still contemplating the Ursa Mini 4.6k at the time. Basically I blame Blackmagic for everything :D
 
So after Jared's update posted earlier today, what do you think the ETA is on Raven packages ordered in the first month? Seems like are getting influx of product within the next 2 weeks.

sounds like they are sooooo many more raven orders, so if you didnt order raven in the first couple of days then you might be behind raven to scarlet swittchers, since they have less of those to fulfill.
 
I'm 3rd or 4th in line on the unofficial queue list and still haven't received an email. Granted, I'm an I/O package order, so I figured it would take a hot minute. I've already emailed my rep about it. I've been without a primary cam for months now, so I'm not sweating it regardless. It will arrive when it arrives.
