4k 8:1 is perfect pixel width and height for a website header / menu padding... What better way to grab attention than a 1000fps looped video at the top of your web page. You could also stack slices of 8:1 to make a traditional aspect ratio which could be a cool effect of varying mediums. There's plenty of potential especially for social media applications / web-development as well as the scientific community. Pretty cool feature if you ask me. It's not quite a Phantom but we are getting close with much better dynamic range.

What an update! Love the new features, timelapse is something we actually use a lot.
So we're stoked to try it all out.

But I already found the first bugs with it, do you know where I could send them in?
When 4k 8:1 with a 1000fps is used and you then switch to any other resolution, the framerates go to the max at this resolution but is now greyed out on the touchscreen. When you now go into the menu and try to do anything, the menu crashes and the whole UI on the touchscreen has to reload. Only thing that helps is changing the framerate to 24/25 via the side screen and controls.
