Hello everyone. Please tell me a company of this rangefinder. What additional inputs and wires needed . What is the cost and where to buy. Maybe someone has experience of using other firms. Advise what to choose and what is more convenient in work.

That is a Cinetape with a 3rd party remote TX system

I have seen on set these..
Cinetape
Arri UDM 1
Ward snipe
Cineranger

The 1st 2 are sonic the last 2 are laser based...

Cinetape is the most popular but the Arri system is very similar... Lasers have more reach and it is not unheard of for a camera to be rigged with 2 systems

There are others as well but I have no experience with them..

It is unusual to invest in any of these tools unless you are a focus puller or a hire company with client demand

Thanks for the info! All of these options are very expensive. Information on the cost of the Cine Tape Measure and has not found)))Mikael I think I will use HOT LINK and your apps))))

FYI Redrock micro has a much cheaper range finder. As far as I know it can only display the distance reading on the device itself (versus a separate / remote display on cinetape)

If you never used those devices be aware that altho they can be very useful for certain shooting situation, due to their 'cone angle' and the fact that they will report the first object they encounter it is not always 100% acurate and still requires a good AC to interpret the reading and gauge the real focus distance... For example it can easily catch the boom microphone instead of the actor's eye which is what you need to be focus on...

Then ther's this:

Not inexpensive, but looked great at trade shows-for a good bit now...

I just picked up a new three channel Preston system and am tempted to add this, but it is new in the field and definitely requires on set experience as well.

Thank you very much
