  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Quickplate V-Lock Battery module ready to ship

ok, it mounts on the epic and on the pro io.
if i want to use on the epic without the pro io do i have to remove the module adaptor or does it fit on that as well ?
the same question for the redmote - does it connect to the module adaptor ?

In the video it demonstrates how it connects to the camera.

Which is: Connect the Module Adapter and then connect : Quickplate V-Lock Battery Module.

If you want to add the Pro I/O Module in the chain just pop off the new batter module, place the Pro I/O on, and slap that new battery module on the back of that.

thanks phil!
it's great that the module adaptor can stay on the camera!

Question: Does any body use the sony battiries on their epic. I curious to know if they work with this module as they seem to have a good formfactor / not sticking up so much behind the camera... So if you have them it would be great to see a picture with the red Vmount thing and ne of these: http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/show-h...sccms-assets-show-highend-F55.shtml#/f55t1_16
Evil idea, hehe, but i see why you're asking.
Anyway, PLEASE put at least a sticker over that sony-logo if you're going to use them. ;)

Teradek is a good place to look for stock cables , But 2 pin lemo for 12v Aux out seems to have caught on as the connector of the week in a market that doesnt seem to really want to pick on a standard.. so we are landing on the 2 pin as going forward and it seems like most other companies have done the same and hopefully we don't need to change it again next year :)

We had to have teradek make us a specific cable to go from our Switronix Jetpack to the Bolt. They are very accommodating and I wouldn't hesitate to ask them to make me whatever cable I needed. For money of course :)

As an aside, is there any reason I can't put this behind my Quad Power Module? Then I'll be ready for the petabyte REDmags when they come out. LOL

Here's your cable - but sadly not 90 degrees.

I'll call my contact at Laird and see if they will do a 90 degree flying lead and put it in their online store -

Okay - Laird is all over making a 90 degree lemo 2-pin flying lead - I should have details later today - I suggested a discounted "5-pack" and/or discount code for REDUSERs - I'll post details when I have them -

Count me in - although I probably only need one.

EDIT: "Flying lead" means only one plug end though. Right? I am really looking for complete cable.
