Question about Wooden Camera wifi side plate installation - internal "RED" tape

I just bought the wooden camera wifi sideplate to install on my Scarlet-W, but when I opened it up, There was tape/sticker that said RED on it. Kinda like a warantee sticker, if you remove this, you're voiding your warantee kind of thing. The sticker is right over the access port where you disconnect the wifi, so I would need to break it to get in there. I'm wondering if this is the case with everyone else who's installed a third party wifi plate. Is it in fact a warantee sticker, or is it just some really nice tape... I've added a photo (I think) for reference.

Thanks!

Don't worry, we are just required to put that sticker there . if you modify the built in antenna to work with something outside what has been passed with the FCC, you are doing so at your own risk and the ability for the camera with an external antenna to stay within FCC guidelines falls upon (in this case) yourselves and Wooden Camera.

This does not mean it will fail FCC.. it is just something that we cannot test nor certify on behalf of the FCC.

This does not void your camera warranty if you need to remove this sticker.. Of course if you break the antenna connector during the install or use it will not be covered under warranty but I think that is a pretty obvious.

Personally.. I love this thing and it makes a huge improvement on signal strength and Wooden Camera did a great job with it so I don't want that sticker to be discouraging, it's just a technicality that Wooden Camera was made aware of during development and that we needed to do in good faith for our customers.

Thanks for the clarification. Now that's some real transparency!
