Predators

[Jonathan Stevenson]

I honestly don't see why everyone hated it. I actually loved the film. It was simple, straightforward, and didn't try to use any stupid gimmicks to out-do any previous films. I thought the cast was great and the practical effects were awesome, script was fine. It definitely blew any other Predator sequel out of the water. It was MIND BLOWINGLY good, but it was way better than I had hoped for.

saw it yesterday... about 30 minutes after the movie i totally forgot that i just watched it. that's how 'meh' it is. well at least it provided work for a bunch of people which is good in these hard times right? other than that, totally unnecessary.
if a franchise has been done to death like this one, either try something radically different or just leave it alone.

When I see movies with action, I always use my feelings of seeing THE FIRST Matrix film. I was thinking about that film for DAYS, afterwards.

That's what I look for in Sci-Fi, something that piques my imagination. That's what I liked about Aliens as I can still watch that movie over and over again. It's similar in an action sense, people, mostly with combat skills, fighting aliens, but at least it kept you on your toes.
