Nice....

I am excited to see it was shot with ONE camera. Love Robert Rodriguez, Adrian Brody, and Alice Braga. I will see this on that alone.

Oh please, oh please, may this be awesome!

I'm ready to go see it. ...Not setting my hopes real high, though.

What exactly is so special about shooting a movie with 1 camera?

Dedication to wasting time for the sake of debatable cost savings. Something I always expect from Rodriguez produced or directed projects.

Totally shows potential.

Splice looks promising too.

All of the jungle stuff shot in Hawai'i was the Genesis. I don't know if they used another camera for stage or mainland work.

It looks pretty faithful to the originals / comic books though. Guess we'll just have to wait and see...

saw it tonight and thought it looked terrible. story was about what i expected, hoped for more but i always do. as a visual experience i was distracted by how ordinary it was, all that jungle stuff was so lacking in fine detail to my eyes. maybe a bad film out or poor projection or both. but in this case i felt 1080p was definitely not 'good enough.'
can't wait for digital projection to roll out down under, hopefully in 4k

I felt the same way. Many of the wide scenes were VERY out of focus. It was fun, but I was disappointed. I wanted them to do something new, and they just really rehashed the first movie. I have more comments, but I know a lot of people reading this haven't seen it yet and don't want to say anything yet.

And the score was VERY horrible at points. Even my GF was like, what the hell is that music playing? :)

Saw Predators...

Once again a studio has a chance to do something amazingly cool and they totally blow it out their ass and then flush it. One giant "MEH...." from me on this one. I wasn't surprised at all, it is exactly what I expected. So in that regard I was not disappointed. This is the same to the Predator franchise as Terminator Salvation was to that franchise.

Saw a 2K digital projection and I didn't think it looked good, to echo sentiments above. I thought most of the effects fell flat. Lots just happening in the dark. Nothing that made me say "wow"... In fact nothing that made me say, "hey, that's kinda cool" either. Just "Meh..." all around.

We didn't even get treated to any cheesy one-liners like the ones that made the original so memorable. We just got lame story and lame dialogue all around.

Took the kids to see Despicable Me on saturday. Had a lot of fun there. I would have much rather paid to see that again....

Adrien Brody in this film was error.

adrien brody was so error.
but maybe it should be counted to the fun part seeing an academy award winning actor to do predator

Just saw it. Didn't stink but it lived up to my low expectations. The Brody played but I thought the script didn't for this. Great idea to shake things up a bit but never followed through with the things they started. Ideas weren't developed enough to build the suspense one disires. Effects were fine but without a better script who cares.
