May be floating around in several threads already, but wanted to see if anyone has an accurate list of power-up time differences between:

-Scarlet-MX
-Epic-MX
-Scarlet-Dragon
-Epic-Dragon
-Weapon

I'm mostly curious about the time from hitting the power button to the time the display actually comes alive and allows you to start recording, and what improvements there have been from different sensor/body generations (plus, if we'll see any improvements show up in Raven).

I know the Dragon sensor requires a bit of warm-up time to get an optimal image, but let's assume for the above that you've just momentarily powered down the camera, and are starting it back up.

Thanks!

My Red Epic Dragon takes 30sec to power up. Use to be quicker a few firmwares back.

Yeah about 30 before you see image on EVF or Monitor. IF your blackshading calibration is where you need it to be. Running off about 5 mins get the temp up to Green/Green. Then i format the mag and get to it.

...hehe, almost feels like it's booting up Windows :001_cool:.

After several years of dealing with RED ONE boot times, it feels like the shortest 30 sec of my life.... it definitely pays to get the camera to the green before you need to shoot anything though.

going from 96 seconds on a redone to 15 seconds on the epic/scarlets to 32 seconds on my dragon. Hoping for 10 seconds for weapon.

I just press the power on button, and then do something else... I've never noticed how long it takes.

Probably less time than it took years ago to re-load a 35mm camera. Perspective. Everyone on the crew is looking at their phone anyway.
