Love me some side handle. Use it to navigate more than the touch screen.

The other monitor is a DP4 with the EVF attachment. It's pretty much tailored to the DP4, so doubtful that it will work on anything else.

Hey Ben, I have been thinking about the DP4 viewfinder situation... are you happy with it? It seems to me like good value for the price, just wondering if it is awkward because of its size. Do you use it in handheld set ups to operate?

Thanks in advance!

although there is not much to her she is sleek enough to take just about anywhere.

Patrick,

i got this: Hosa XLR3F to Right Angle 3.5mm 1' XVS-101F. and the audio comes in one channel only, but i just force it to both in premiere. i use it mostly for audio sync'ing and not as sole audio. but it does the trick until phantom power is enabled. the mic is the rode ntg2.

What bottom plate do you have? is this the FMJ-BOTTOM Plate with FMJ-15MM-LW Bracket from viewfactor or the Easy Riser + LW 15mm Bracket from wooden camera? What rods are you using? does obox come with the rods youre using?

For the price, I like it a lot. It has great features, & it's really solid. I've used it on a couple handheld exterior shoots as my only monitor, and never had trouble getting focus. And I like having a 2nd small monitor so people don't have to crowd in over my shoulder to see the screen...I just have the DP4 (sans EVF attachment) mounted and pointed off one side or the other. I tested out the Zacuto, and this seemed a better value and fit for what I wanted to do.

I don't find it that awkward, but I don't have much basis for comparison.

Doug. My V mount didn't come with an anamorphic flare. Can you please advise where you got yours from?

Many thanks

Lliam

:P

Hi Lilam- I used the spray on flare you can find at Film Tools. If you make the trip to Burbank ask for Jim Martin, tell him Doug sent you for Epic flare spray and he'll hook you up.

Obviously still need to put together a real rig, but while I wait on some accessories to mount this thing to my rods set up.. this is what i have

Well it looks like you just got smallHD a new customer, sounds like what I expect of it! (Well, you and the fact that the bomb evf is a third of the brain, ha)

Thanks again

Tell them I referred you...maybe they'll send me a DP6 for free (fingers crossed).

Does the DP6 have a loupe/eye-piece for pseudo-viewfinderness? Also, all of the regular stuff - exposure posts, focus assists, etc. - work on the additional monitor right? Like it's a mirrored display of what the REDtouch is displaying?
