I’m considering a Komodo, but I will need a true EVF. Don’t have a grasp on the red ecosystem, but is there a “pogo cable” that will allow for an EVF to be mounted properly?

To my knowledge, you cannot use one of the EVFs designed for previous Red DSMC systems.

You can use any EVF designed to take a signal over SDI. Zacuto has a good track record with these, Portkeys is a newer entrant, not sure if Alphatron still makes one...

I have a Zacuto Kameleon EVF and I’ve been pretty happy with it overall. Cabling can be a bit of pain but that seems true with every aftermarket EVF and even some OEM EVFs.

I don't own a Komodo but did have it for a few days using a Zacuto Gratical Eye.
Worked great.

Thank you for the recommendations.

However, I need the SDI port for other uses.
Are there any cabling options at all for the Monitor port?

On the Komodo, I believe there is only the single SDI output and wireless monitoring options through the app. Someone else can chime in here but I think the top pogo only provides "run / stop" control and there is no monitor out possible from that connection.

A possible solution, if you have other uses for the SDI port would be to pick up an SDI splitter so you can feed two peripherals. Something like this one, I think, would do the trick: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod..._4k_12g_hd_sd_sdi_distribution_amplifier.html

You can feed two HDSDI with one port. Sometimes you have to teminate the port with a 75ohms. I use the Kameleon with is gorgeous.
