Looks like it goes into the side and then the connector faces stright down (much nicer than it facing out from the front as on the EPIC)

Which is why I'm wondering if it swivels because it could be very handy if it goes up as well, just gives you options...

Maybe someone will come up with some hardware piece that makes it like a clamshell or something so you have a flip out right by the SSD.

I wonder if the single audio in is Stereo. at least then you could send a left right to CH 1 and 2 for multiple sources.

the rear fan input looks beast. and the whole camera seems to be a cage. so lots of mount points on both sides and rear.

Whole new set of accessories coming.

Built in scratch mics in front and a stereo input, rear. That would give you four channels on board. Handy.

V-lock is gone so no where to hang your redmote! (not sure we'd need that with the new switchblade.

4 M4 screws on rear looks like the way plates will be attached for V-mount batteries. etc.

But it's big for the only purpose of a "Lemo adaptor". I wonder if the Prores Module could be there? Or has it been stated that the Prores will be incoded internally and saved on the minimag? I wonder what could be the other (future) features on that connector?

Would you need a redmote if Weapon comes with wifi and you have this? naaah... Notice that on the back, there are two holes on top and one in the bottom, I'm guessing for added support of modules...

It should fit fine. If you include the integrated top plate, Weapon is 'about' the same height as Epic/Scarlet. Width is about the same, it is of course shorter, but thats not a problem with your cage.

Apart from the W skull has the "weapon" branding moved to the top? The word DRAGON previously was displayed as WEAPON on new side module.

Edit: Weapon is still displayed on the coin at the front...quite small. Having Dragon on the side module is a big improvement.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this already, but check out that exhaust on the back. I believe the two squares underneath the mount on front are where internal audio will be getting picked up (if there is internal scratch). Going to need to ditch most or all of my third party accessories more than likely.

I think that the air is probably being exhausted out the top and being drawn in from that point you are talking about on the bottom back.

Whoops yeah that's what I meant "intake". Looks like a nice improvement. Hopefully will result in less noisy camera and more stable temperature control. :-D

Existing handle is not compatible with Weapon. No idea yet if there is a new handle in the works. I hope they do!

i'm quite sure there will be one. Red is DSMC and will be more so when going Weapon VistaVision. How will you go around taking DS easily without a side handle? I mean, it's possible with a simple handle and the controls as they are right now, but would not be idea. I think side handle is very important for many, and they would not just ditch it out...

I think the list of what you keep is a lot shorter than what you cant use.
