Online RED Courses?

Is there a solid online course to really learn a RED camera? I'm sure nothing that's offered online can truly compete with the in-person REDucation courses, but something that would at least let us standardize our practices a little more and get the best performance out of our system would be super helpful.

Think if you really read and study trough the whole red pdf user manual then you will be more educated than most. Also I think you will find its pretty straight forward stuff.

The cameras are actually quite simple at their core but on top of that there are thick layers of menues and options, most that you dont need to know much about but can be usefull at times. And then its always possible to google or look in the manual.

As the camera shoots raw framerate, shutter, resolution and compression is pretty much the only crucial parameters.

I was lookin for something similar but more focused on post production using r3d files. Just workflows in premiere and davinci resolve. I haven’t found too much. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Yeah there are a few YouTube videos people have put together but definitely would prefer something a little more formal and certified.

That would be great. Tbh, it's hard enough just finding quality, complete info on some of the more advanced settings in Resolve regardless of footage format, stuff like color space transforms and ACES and all that.

I bought that a while a go. Its better used a field guide and not much on post processing.

I sent a link of this discussion to Mzed. Hopefully they can put something together. I’ve been a pro member for about two years and found the courses on their website very beneficial. Maybe RED will eventually offer a REDucation post class.
