added a long R3D file to the timeline and added in/out and did some cutting, but how do i get rid of the part of the file i don't want in the timeline?
Tried delete and file-delete, but can't seem to get rid of extra footage that i cut and pasted.
so far loving it...can we also do an export to 422? i see only quicktime along with sizes??
You can only trim for output now... can't actually cut up the R3D file. That will happen later. This is the Alpha build. A lot of features will be added from here.

Did I imagine it or does it automatically scan my hard drive for R3Ds and load them?

This is bit off topic but something that hit me while (waiting for Redcine Windows version and Epic-X and while) reading today's newpaper about what the managing director of a big company spoke in a big event of their business area.
This interesting point was, these managers talk about meeting the need of customers and providing them with right services and so on, and while reading this I had to stop for a moment to ask myself: How come these guys talk about the same principles as Jim Jannard but simultaneously I still know so well that in practice there's a huge difference in the underlying business policy. In the end of the day the other ones are interested in the business --whether they sold cars, carrots, eyeglasses did not matter as long it's good business-- while here it's the camera, software, hardware and workflow which matters everything. Obviously, nobody can run bad business for a long time, but the endless interest in Redcode, Redcine, Epic-X etc. speaks for itself. Eventually it shows up what matters. All this is somehow pretty amazing.
If you click on a drive, it will find all R3D's in that drive. If you drill down to a folder, it will find all the R3D's in that folder.
