...or the new Red mount that will be used on the new lenses... Which is probably the one you see in this picture.Pure speculation, My thinking so far.
If its epic, then it has either PL, Canon or Nikon mount yes?
Well, look again :If no mount then fixed?
If fixed then its scarlett based.
Lens is 8x (confirmed).
I see a "2", the rest is hidden.
In 2/3 inch format, you aren't going to see a 2.x mm zoom anywhere.
Zeiss's excellent super wide prime is 3.9mm.
A wide would be 4.9 or 5.x mm. More like likely 7.x mm like most eng kit.
so the 2 is for a double digit twenty to something zoom but 8x
24 or 25 mm is pretty standard on the wide end, times 8 is about 200ish mmm.

It's a 24-7?, so definately not 8x, more like 3x, so definately not fixed Scarlet.
And nobody said this was a 2/3" lens...

I was starting to think the same thing...Because the focus marks are actually an OLED screen...

I think so too. OLED markings, changable because the focus gear is not actually a gear. Instead it's just an electronic rotary encoder masquerading as a focus gear. That way, it can be electronically switched to focus in both directions (Cinema/Canon, or Nikon/"backwards") This also allows for auto-focus and touch tracking focus that doesn't actually spin the gear, only the actual focus mechanism which is all inside the lens. Okay, so this is total conjecture, but it could be pretty darn cool

I keep looking at the renders and I'm loving that electronic lens. Looks like a 24mm-?. The witness mark read-out looks great and easy to read. It looks like it could definitely be illuminated, would be awesome of it's an OLED display with dynamic markings, able to display imperial or metric marks by changing preferences in camera... OK, that might be a bit of a stretch...

Also with the OLED display, it seems there would be no need for separate imperial or metric versions of the lens...
