  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Now it begins. Red BT shipping

Odd, I ordered mine *literally* within seconds of it going up on the store, haven't even had shipping notification yet - last I heard was a 2-3 week estimate... about 4 weeks ago...

No love for Mike the Fireman. Maybe Red thinks it is better you are out saving lives then shooting with the Red camera. I agree. No camera for Mike. Just keep putting your life on the line for us out there. We love you for it. Even if you will now never get a Red camera. I played with mine today. Keep up the good work.
 
Apparently my Red One is in the first batch of European BT R1 orders.
it's getting shipped out either tomorrow or the day after according to my rep.

Actually I wasn't a fireman when I ordered it! I resigned as a fireman in NY at end of October, and there was a gap of two weeks before I signed-up with the local fire brigade here in NZ!

Can't give it up...

Contacted my Rep Yesterday, Nothing New he said. They are trying to Get a HUGE order QC'd and they need time.
 
Did any European buyers pay straight away through wire transfer? If so what's the current status of your order.

Uh oh, this doesn't sound too good. I ordered mine on the 2nd too and after the e-mail from the bomb squad rep confirming my wire transfer (on the 6th) I haven't heard anything back. Shall I give them a ring tomorrow or am I being a little too apprehensive?

I wouldn't worry about it. Your R1 is probably a bit futher back in line as you mentioned your transfer was completed on the 6th.
I already had the money in place due to a cancalled order when i ordered mine. ;-)
 
I ordered on right away on the 2nd (like 2 minutes past midnight), and am still yet to be billed. How should I interpret this?

I replied but my internet was having an off day, I guess it didn't go through. Properly replied now. Sorry bout that.
 
I got my wire tranfer confirmation two days ago, when do you guys think I can hope to really hold it?

Well I guess "allocated" doesnt mean shipping soon. Still haven't received shipping confirmation even though told my camera was allocated yesterday. Even asked that the shipping be upgraded to overnight at additional cost to me. Looks like that was a waste.
 
according to the patterns, it seems like day 1-3 orders have shipped or is in allocation. Day 3-5 orders will go out this later this week.

Day 2 here (minutes past midnight), I've heard nothing still.

I won't hold them on the 2-3weeks shipping time. Although Thanksgiving might have extended the shipping times. I'm sure we can wait an extra 1-2weeks for them to be fully tested and delivered.
 
I ordered on the 2nd day. I say let them take there sweet time. No rush. I am sure the refurbishing process and QC can be a delicate process and when they feel it is ready, I am ready.
