I just purchased the new Angelbird 2TB AV PRO SE CFexpress v4 Type B 3500MB/s card, and it shows a warning message of not an approved media.

Has it been tested by RED? If not , how long does it usually take for RED to test a new card?

At RED's website it says that Angelbird "AV PRO CFexpress MK2 Type B 2TB" is approved. So I suppose that the new v4 is not yet reviewed or recognized by the latest firmware.

How long's a piece of string?

Don't think there's any way to know when or even if RED will certify a card that's not currently on the list. Angelbird cards are garbage, the build quality is shocking. Had three fall apart on me and get replaced twice, before yet another was falling apart for the third time, and another dead and non functional.

If you can, consider returning and buying something else. Using Lexar Golds in my RAPTOR now.

Angelbird makes the Red branded cards.

I have never had any trouble with an Angelbird card.

*Knocking on wood*, but I’ve also never had a problem with Angelbird cfast and cfexpress cards in my Komodo and Komodo X.

Lucky for you guys.

I just had all three of my Angelbird CFe cards refunded thanks to the endless issues of them falling apart, cracking and outright failing.

Didn’t have these issues with the AB CFast cards for my C200 back in the day (which I still have).
