But not with the macpro notebook eh?
Sure. You just need snow leopard in either 32 or 64bit mode.

Is there a reason why the number Gamma space options is reduced in the new version? Although REDgamma is the choice for most of the cases, still, the linear or REC709 settings are almost a must in some cases. Especially so, if the image has almost nothing else than a lot of mid grays REDgamma is too steep. If needed can send you some samples and you can try yourself.
When I push the video out button in ver 361 i dont get the box to choose the signal. It activates always 1080p23.98 rgb

Can't run Windows 64bit, errors out at start.
Can run Windows 32bit...
Trying to output a test sequence as exr file format. It fails each time, log shows "Software scaling is currently supported for only RGB16 pixel data. Please try another output format."
Same clip outputs as dpx, tiff, sgi, qt etc no problem.
Doesn't seem to be an option to select 1/2 float for exr?
Deanan,
I have tried to use the Mac 64 bit, but always crashes, no matter if the computer is started 32 or 64. If I use the 32 version, it works without a problem.
I need to ask a question about Jim's quote re: Redline update. None of the Mac links download the RedLine application and its installer as it used to do before. Would this be the cause of the crash? Where can I find the new RedLine version with the "REDlog Film added"? :emote_headwall:
Please advise,
Luis
The R3D Trim mode is great! I can easily export single shots from the player or several shots from the bins. What I am looking for is a way to export a timeline with EDL or some sort of way so the timeline in RedCineX can be re-generated linking to the new trimmed R3D files? This would be the ultimate way of handling exports to color grading and VFX. No more need to do first light and exports to DPX/TIFF, just export trimmed (conformed) timeline to your color/vfx software of choice and import edl linked to your new trimmed R3Ds. The key point is that you have access to the digital negative at all time which would be very useful in color/vfx work. Also if there was a way to keep metadata changes made in RedcineX in other software that would be cool, you could then do first pass in RedCinex and continue in other software later.
Can you try downloading again? There was a problem with the download in the first few hours.
Try downloading it again. The original zip had a problem with the files.
For 64bit, what os version are you on?

Deanan,
Can you refresh my mind: where are those saved within the directory?
Thanks,
BTW,
I try to re-download the zip, and it does not have the Redline installer, so I do not think the update that Jim explained could have happened, right?
