  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

new RED Pro Program...

I am really really impressed. Impressed to the point that I'm discouraged. I thought these might be in my price range sometime soon... looks like It'll be many years. *sigh*

I don't suppose you'll be making a non-pro set for cheaper? I would still buy a very nice set of primes from you even if they weren't the best on the planet.

If EPIC looked half as good as these lenses...

SEXY vs. utilitarian.

No offense intended! But really.. could you guys push the EPIC in this direction?

I hate to admit it.. but looks matter... wow, these are hot.

I guess I really am shallow after all!

Have you never heard of a beautiful woman as being built like a brick house?

Think of Epic and Scarlett as being built liek a beautiful woman.

We could even accuse Red as dabbling in Masonry.

All in all we are just another brick in the wall,

Rosco

P.S. Another link to explain this idea!

Drooling... :w00t:

But I'm missing one or two focal lengths at the wider end (18 mm, 14 mm)...

You have the quote wrong. It's built like a "brick shit house" meaning very utilitarian but ugly.

Not saying anything is ugly, except maybe a woman built like a brick shit house.

Jim, the lenses look really beautifull!!! Congratulations.

Please don't forget Scarlet 2/3 fixed lens with focus marks... That camera is going to make history. Is the cheaper one. With the crisis everybody is going to buy this model...

What about the mini red primes with follow focus?

Thanks!

Sorry Chris, the expression is actually referring to a woman who is very well built, which most shithouses are not... unless they are brick:).

Does the camera reservation # still put a person ahead in line? I'm ready to buy.

I'm going to guess not... As the 300mm Pro and 18-85 were sold on a first-come, first-served basis. The exception being those who already had reservations specifically for the 18-85, got to cut in line. Some of us have reservations for the prime set from like 2 years ago. :ninja:

a 10mm, a 12mm and a 16mm
if i interpret the causalities right...hehe

Make it so. ...Please? :)

Did you even read the definition you posted? :)

"outhouse" "outdoor toilet" "usually refers to a male"

I understand that in definition #2 it refers to a woman, but I grew up with the term as a negative description. Especially when describing a woman. Now it could be a regional thing... or an evolution of the term (ala "I could / couldn't care less" don't get me started) but either way, lets find a better way to desribe women.. screw the lenses. Not literally! :)

Chris

Excelent range! You guys could build an entire business only around these lenses... Hopefully, when the time comes, there are some special packages/bundles for set purchase or cameras+lenses combos! This will probably be the biggest challenge your sales dept will face, in order to satisfy a whole new costumer group that's likely to come with the Scarlet. Good job!
