  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New MacPro predictions? Hopes? Fears?

Can't you see a sort of Crayesce design. Sectioned lids that you lift off to reach a whole ring of packed cards, that you can use as a seat when put down, with a cooling core in the middle? Shapped like their new headquarters.
 
... I thought it was part of Apple's new ('swiftly) 'teach the upcoming generation' (of teachers and children) in Apple stores to 'make an impact on society'.

Specifically, I think it's the plant pot they designed .. and will most likely appear in one of their London branches in place of an inorganic glass Staircase!

He, he Antony. You got in a bit early and I knew you were going to spoil it before somebody came along and speculated it was going to be a new server case or something. :smiley: and I was going to add a few ideas in the conversation, and eventually add "it looks like a plant pot". Which of course they would reject because it doesn't look like one. I'll have to keep you and Jeff out of the next one.

The fan boy speculation in the forum is going rampant since the new project. It's bewildering to see conclusions drawn from no real information, but from speculation.

But note, it doesn't mean that its not secretly shaped like their next computer. :smiley:

They're saying it comes with 4 USB C ports but no HDMI , thubderbolt or USB shapped ones. If this is true I imagine a Christmas tree or a power grid like scenarios of thousands of adapters surrounding the machine...

My concern is that adapters will use ac adapter dependent adapters like the belkin box I'm using just to connect an external hdd, or a card reader, or even a projector.
 
They are probably depending on that USB HDMI, or displayport/HDMI over TB protocols whichbitbwas irginally designed to do. If only we could just have the new USB/TB port everywhere, and optical and a high powered version.

ha, good one!

The leaked emails had nothing to do with the Mac line-up, it was about Tim being considered for Clinton's VP.

Mac Pro doesn't fit with Cook's mid road strategy for Apple;
An iMac (Pro) w/ dual GPU gimmick is coming... eventually... and will further alienate the "Pro" market from Apple.
 
Looks like $100B+ well used.
Can't wait for new icons and UI colors with reduction of intimidating options.

Wikileaks is just another mass shaping propaganda tool.
 
I'm just hoping that if they make an iMac Pro they'll continue to offer the Mac Pro. I need them to refresh that system, I've been waiting too long.
