  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Graphics Card

The GTX 780 we have been talking about....BUT. your comment on drives just solved it for me. I am playing off my server....hahaha, whoops!
 
It appears I spoke to soon. One of our guys moved some footage to the internal drive. a standard 7200 RPM drive and we are still getting 14-15 fps.

the computer is a 2009 8 core 2.66 mac pro with 64gb of ram. I am running the new GTX780 for resolve, and a gt120 for my GUI card.
 
So speaking of Drives.... I'm looking at the OWC Mercury Accelsior 480GB PCI-E drive. Blackmagic's Drive benchmarks put it pushing 735 megs a second bi-directional. I know older versions of Resolve had SSD issues any one tried out a PCI-E SSD and with that through put I shouldn't have any bottle neck issues because of the drive right?
