Since Version 2.3.7 "Added option to send device's GPS location into R3D clip's SLATE metadata". Does anyone know how this works in detail?

Hello.
Once connected just go to the app's 3rd page (color settings) and you should see a GPS button. In the pro app this will be on the 1st camera tab (along with FTP settings).
After allowing device location access you can turn this GPS feature ON and it will regularly populate the SLATE external GPS coordinates metadata field.
This field is only available in latest RAPTOR and KOMODO-X beta FW for now but if you have an older FW or using a KOMODO, the app will instead send the GPS metadata to the UNIT SLATE metadata field.
You can then retrieve this info in the clip's metadata to get the location where the clip started recording.
