  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Nevermore Film trailer is FINISHED!

It looks like you were trying to be a 100 million dollar movie. The images were stylish, but it was confusing, and not in a good way. To me it felt like uninspired action imagery because of a weak story. I wanted a character to root for, antagonist to root against, and maybe a setting that would move me. It just didn't hook me. Just my thoughts.

I think your missing the satirical nature of it. This looks to me like a comment on a certain "type" of movie. Again, perhaps several starring Nick Cage for example ;) I think these guys knew exactly what they were doing.

good points, yes we wanted a 60mill look. Funny you should say this stuff about the Antagonist, I think it's a bit hard to tell that much story in a trailer. What we wanted was to go for a basic tease, without giving away much of anything. Also remember we don't have a film to "pick from" so making this trailer I think was much much more difficult then making a real trailer from a finished film. In a finished film we could try so much and then move on if it did not work, with this we had what we had from the storyboard, and that's it. We had some frustrating times because of a limited choice when editing. I would not want or choose to go at a project like this but it will serve us well, already has in a HUGE way and that is all that really matters.

You guys are awesome, and have the same mentality as my brother and I. Keep it up guys, and BEST OF LUCK!

BTW How'd you get access to Scratch on NO BUDGET??

We have a production company. ;)

Well done. You wanted to make something badass and you did. You deserve to win the production for this one. Keep up the good work guys.

We certainly set a new bar for us. :)

Long time coming...I can't WAIT to get to shooting this project for real.

So this was RED and 5d footage. It's very hard to grade 5d compared to RED..RAW format is so much better.

obin,

very good points right back at you. the best thing is that you completed something, which is half the battle or more. and it does look awesome. I'm just very big on story. good work, hope you sell it and can make it into the picture you want.

Cheers

Best of Luck Obin. I am sure this is not the only production you and your brother will do. We expect more to come from the Olson Brothers - Lim

Nice! Trailer seems a bit too long though.. Could easily cut it down and get more impact. (unless this is a sales trailer)

Some stunning shots. Great sound. Good use of CGI.. Love the grading on the guy in graveyard shot.

I'll have to agree. Also I think the color correction is a bit heavy handed and inconsistent? What was it colored on? Just my opinion. Good luck on the film, looks interesting.
