  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

neat video

If these guys were charging $1,000, it would still be worth it.

They could just up the price to cover all platforms and charge you $499 or so. It would still be considered cheap for what it does. Instead they keep the price manageable. I want them to continue developing this stuff so let's support it. Some things are overpriced, this isn't one of them.

One good thing is it's a one time license. I bought it for Adobe Premiere a couple of years ago. Since then I've moved it to new computers and newer versions of Premiere as I've upgraded.

Neat Video 3 is much improved. While MCTemporalDenoise is still the best solution, NV3 is now at least in the ballpark to make the convenience of being available inside your software and cross-platform worth it.

Didn't know they had a newer version out. But I have moved my older version from one PC to another one, and I've re-installed it when moving from CS4 Premiere to CS5 Premiere and then to CS5.5 Premiere, all under the same license.

We use it all the time. it just works. have never seen better video noise reduction software at any price.

I have become a recent fan. This thing works wonders. Quick question for those more experienced users.
To get a good noise profile, you need a large enough uniform noise sample.. Sometimes there just isn't any uniform areas in the shot. What have been your work arounds to getting good noise samples shots where there are no uniform areas?

Thus far, the slate has come in handy. Since it appears in every shot. I've been using parts of it for noise profiling. Yet, another reason to shoot 4K, more areas to grab noise reduction samples. Any other good tips for this?

Zhibo, remember you can save noise profiles. I've profiled all of the ISOs against an out of focus gray card. I've found that even with all of the black shading that this has worked exceptionally well.

Neat video is very OK but The Foundry's Furnace Core plug in De-Noise is only one that really ROCKS.

Noise Profiles, of course! Don't know why this didn't cross my mind. Thus why we come to reduser. Thanks Phil.
