Let me preface this question by saying I did indeed do a search and I feel like I'm mostly aware of the main players.

If you have a moment, I'd like to know what ND filters you guys are using for Komodo. I'm curious what everybody else is using and am seeking your opinions.

Currently I'm looking at the Element Filters FSND set, which is crazy low in terms of price, but I do have a DP friend who uses them on his Monstro and says they've been great so far. Also been looking for more info on Golden Age Lab's Epic ND's.

I'm only interested in fixed density 4x5.65 filters, no variable ND stuff.

Thanks for the help.

If you haven't already, I'd recommend looking in particular at @Phil Holland 's posts on filters, as he does pretty thorough testing among multiple brands. But for starters, you might check out what he had to say about filters from Breakthrough.

I personally own a set of Nisi 4x5.6 filters and think they're pretty good. They were recommended to me by a local boutique rental house. (Spoiler alert: Phil thinks there are better choices!)

Thanks for the response. I'm mostly curious if someone knows about something that could be new to the market. Not that there's anything wrong with the old favorites.

But technology moves fast, and much like the recent rush of so many new lens options, is there an equivalent on the ND side of amazing new stuff that punches way above its price point?

Yes. I have indeed tested everything and I use many brands still for my work year-long.

4x5.65". I'm currently using Golden Age Labs Epic NDs. Two sets. Nearly all front filtration was shot on them this year.

Last several shoots I've used RED's eND PL Mount. It's become rather handy.

I'll update my public recommended filter list soon I guess. But generally if you want the "the best or better" you'll be paying for it in my experience.

I hadn't even heard of these. That price isn't terrible. Especially if these are at the top of your list or close to the top if something else has come along and earned the #1.

They aren't front NDs, but we really like the Kippertie Revolva on the Komodo.
