  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NAB13- Scarlet Upgrade Program

I'm still torn between the three options. I don't want to drop 20K, so straight to Epic-D is probably out of the question.

But the Scarlet-D vs Epic-X is a hard choice. It may put me at the end of the line, but I'm waiting for some Scarlet-D specs/footage.

If you had SCARLET armor warranty coverage at time of delivery of new EPIC, then it carries over at no additional charge. But you cannot double dip by having a SCARLET armor then EPIC armor on new brain.

Note, EPIC brain comes with standard one year warranty.

Yes, I was sure to order, but too much lacking information right now. Final frame rates, compression ratios, footage, etc , etc. Waiting a bit
 
It would certainly be nice to know the msrp of scarlet dragon so we know what our options are as far as trade-in vs sell used and buy new camera before commiting to execute our cameras. Plus it will have a bearing on rental rates and future value relative to the competition...
 
and I am trusting in red, that the upgrade is worth the price of a new camera. Guess, that's what everybody is doing here, giving you guys trust ahead !

Question Brent: It said I have serial #14 when I actually have serial #6. Oddly when I look at Snapshot TIF files in Adobe Camera Raw it says my serial is #3. Do I need to be concerned about this? :)
 
We don't wire transfer through the money until we get notified our preorder is up, right? Seems a little funny transferring through $9500 to wait on a list...

Thanks Brent! BTW do we get new serials? Seeing as getting the preorder early would get me a much lower number would be nice :)
 
Sorry if this has been answered

If I upgrade from Scarlet to scarlet dragon, its understandable for me to send it off to LA from the UK for the upgrade

But if I choose the Scarlet to Epic non dragon upgrade, can I get the Epic in the UK/London

I just don't want to lose too many clients while im out of a camera waiting for my exchange or upgrade
