Wow, amazing how fast you have come up with a fix. Incredible support, as always. Many thanks!!!!
Best,
TDW

P.S.: It is a dream come true to be able to monitor out in RCX via my Blackmagic Card. BTW, once you select your card in the preferences video out tab, make sure you also press the monitor icon below the viewer.

I'm running into a problem where I can only get a correct image with my decklink extreme 3d with my rockets turned off. I have 2 Red Rockets and the decklink, and with either one or both of the rockets used for decoding, the decklink displays a completely scrambled image. It updates as I play but it is very odd, interlaced look picture.

Also, if I try to view using one of my rockets with both used for decoding, I get a crash as soon as I hit the monitor out button.

Im attaching a log file.

Tim,

What's the clip resolution and aspect ratio that you're using?

I can't get video out to work through my Decklink HD Extreme 3D+ card that is in a Sonnet Echo Express Pro Thunderbolt chassis with the Rocket. I get no image at all. The video output through that card works great in Premiere Pro CS6. I tried disabling the Rocket decoding and it still didn't work. I also tried Channel 0 and Channel 1. Clips are 4K HD (3840x2160) 23.976. Settings in BMD preference pane match the output in the RCXP preferences.

Mike,

Just to make sure, you did turn on the monitor out via the button in the video player immediately to the left of the Rocket button, correct?

If that's not the issue, we have seen some occasional issues internally where a Rocket and DeckLink card are in the same thunderbolt enclosure that we're still looking into.

5k 16x9 or 4k 2.40 I think, I tried several things. The crash with rocket video out happens weather I have a clip loaded or not. Also I have all 3 cards ( 2 rockets and decklink) in a Cubix desktop 4.

Tim

OK. Well we haven't tried this in a Cubix expander before. I'll see if I can track one down around the office here and see whats up.

No I didn't try that because the tool tip for that button says "RED ROCKET Monitor Out" so I left it disabled. I'll try it again in a couple hours when I can shutdown and hook the Rocket back up.

My apologies for the misleading tooltip. I'll make sure to get that fixed.

No worries. Thanks for responding so quickly. I was able to try it out sooner than expected and that was it. I now get Rocket-decoded playback through the Decklink card, all via Thunderbolt in RCXP. Very nice and something I've been hoping for. Thanks!

Ok, thanks. I've been running the 2 rockets in the Cubix for quite a while, seems odd that it doesn't work anymore in the alpha when not using the decklink. How it gets cleared up soon, saves a lot of input switching for me on my monitor.

Doesn't work for me. Windows Vista Home Premium. Just crashes when I try to launch.

Are you using the latest build of the Alpha? We released a second one at 11:01 in this thread.

Yep I just installed that one as well and it is the same problem. I guess I will stick with build 17.26152
Please send your log files to redcinex at red dot com so I can investigate why it is crashing for you. They should be under your userfolder\AppData\local\red\RedCineX\Logs
