If you install the fans without a new build they just run at full tilt ( kinda like our old fans used to ) We now use pretty complicated algorithms for fan control and the new build uses those to constantly monitor fan speed and temperature and modulate front vs. top as needed.

Has this been answered before? Will the old fans accept the modifications in the new firmware, too?

There will be new top plate released at the same time that have some extra efficiencies surrounding the fan.

The front one is not yet available so no answers from RU. Ask Jarred.

So only available solution is to try the RED top fan or the FanPlate.

I have written to Action Products about this but no answer. I very much hope that they will make some sort of adjustment to accommodate the new front fan otherwise it render the entire 15mm rods/audio solution useless.
