  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NAB13- Dragon Sensor Upgrade Program begins

Scarlet to Epic or Dragon upgrade. Woohoo! Hit me sideways - I don't believe this.
 
Thanks Brent. In terms of this Scarlet - Epic X upgrade path, will that operate in the same way, and will it run parallel to the Dragon program or after it is complete?

So is this first ordered first served or by serial number? Have to know how to allocate my day. Would be helpful to have a time when this goes live and exactly how it works.

Really excited about the upgrade options for Scarlet users. If an EPIC-M DRAGON is $29k I'm really curious what an EPIC-X DRAGON will cost.

Will there be a film at NAB showing Dragon off? I can't wait to see some footage.

If Scarlet owners upgrade to Epic MX now will there be an option to upgrade to Epic Dragon later still? Will it be cheaper to take the leap all the way to Dragon from the start? I guess we'll know in the morning :)
 
Do you know yet if this upgrade is US only or will also be done in Europe down the line ?
Will there any early adopter discount for Scarlet upgrades or only applies on our Epic or does it apply to only 1 camera anyway...

Date and timestamp of pre-order placed.

Ok, I am not a robot like Jarred who runs on no sleep so I need to get 3 hours of shut eye before heading over to booth. Hope to see a bunch of you there!

Epic-X Dragon will be $24,000.

There will not be a NAB film shot on DRAGON this year. We had to make new ASICS for the Dragon remember and those literally just came in, and we are finishing off the firmware now.

The Color Science and sensor calibration with a sensor with this much latitude is substantially more difficult to get perfect.. and we didn't have it complete in time to shoot something before the show.

Is there a ballpark-pricing for Scarlet > Epic MX ?
