The REDMAG 256GB is being replaced by the 240GB version.

The 240GB is faster than the current 256GB.

Oh, and btw, all media in the future as well as all media purchased in the last 6 months now carries a 1 year warranty.

Estimated to begin shipping in 6-8 weeks.

YOU ROCK!

1 YEAR WARRANTY! Woohoo! this is great! Thank you for changing this.

[Patrick Grossien]

The price is so tempting!!!! what happens to the rest of the mags and their prices? 128GB "obsolete"

[Josh Negrin]

I almost bought a 128GB recently, this is fantastic news! Looking forward to other price drops as well.

[Brent Carter]

The old mags are pretty much price locked since we bought mass amounts at a certain price (Jarred explained in some other thread...). With the 240GB, the price we got them at, we are passing along to you.

[Brandon J.F.]

Suddenly I'm kind of glad I just sold my 128s...

Fascinating! This one was a big surprise to me actually.

[Brian Timmons]

I know a RED ONE owner (me) in the market for at least 3 of these.
It would be greatly appreciated if a firmware upgrade for R1 can be made available quite soon to support these new cards.

Hoping for a Thunderbolt reader solution!!!

[Edward Black]

1 year warranty also for miniMags? Thats great - thank you very much!

[Maik Müller]

Great move. I was planning to move to mini-mags, but this is tempting. I thought you are not going to do anything new with the 1.8" since the introduction of the Minis. Again you proof that you are just the most customer-friendly company on this planet, by giving this out for a price that makes the 128 "obsolete". Crazy!

[Björn Benckert]

Do we know how much "faster" means... is that fast as minimags or no?

Who will buy old expensive mags?
