  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Great news!!!

That means RED finally will start shipping Epic and Scarlet before or after NAB !!!???
 
Man, I SO want to go to an NAB! What are the odds I can head over to pick up my Stage 2 Epic around the same time in person (#378)? Then I can use the visit to accomplish multiple objectives (Epic, meet Jim in person, cast for my upcoming S3D Epic short movie "Maria", visit Hollywood for the first time, etc etc)!

Fingers crossed the stars align properly!

You have said that most of us will get (buy) Epic on NAB! And now you are telling only about show again! So will Epic be selling before NAB or on NAB or show and show again? Will be able some of us buy Epic before NAB? Or even on NAB (April - 2 month from Feb - starting production of Epic) again nobody can buy Epic? I was hope since Feb buy NAB we will get a few hundreds of customers yet and not only show! Why if start production in Feb you are talking only about show? I think from Feb for the 2 next month in April must be a few handred real owners, customers of Epic!

This actually made me laugh out loud, haha.

Personally, I hope the surprise is a release date or final specs, or something along those lines (i.e. more info), although I'd hope to get such info sooner.
 
Release dates announcement?
4k or 5k projector/display?
Anamorphic primes?
Monstro prototype?

Any would suffice.
 
I think the "surprise" is that Jim possesses the ability to transform into any form of exotic animal he wishes...
 
I guess if they were going to have a scene set up for the cameras to show off what they can do, it would have to have a lot of light with a lot of shade - HDRx anyone?
