Just the R1 when customers do the sensor upgrade.

Did you guys swap IR filters when the camera's were in for Audio board upgrades?

I could swear that it did not look as RED when looking into the sensor when I got it back.

David

They will swap it on cameras they are getting sensor upgrades, not all cams. Makes perfect sense.

LOL First thing I saw was Siglio VI ... thats 6 leaves to make each one. Lets hope the embargo ends soon.

ISO 1000 is crazy good for this ISO and ISO 2000 very useable.

That's great !

Wow, now that some great range, love it, sure wish I didn't had to buy a set of 1D IV's but I guess its okay, once my turn for the EPIC comes up they will go on sale as the rest of the Canon gear did before the October 30 announcement :~).

Mean while wen in Vegas JIm, don't forget I'm here, not that you could ever come to need anything, but if you do, well I'm here, and can help getting some shots with pleasure, I'll even bring some lights, gear and off course the girls, this way I get you in trouble too, he he

id love to see a comparison.. RED ONE NOW at iso 320 and the new camera at ISO 500
same shot.. same lighting.. same post..
Thanks:)

Well Jim already said no requests so... :beatdeadhorse5:

But yeah, Red vs Red M-X for same shot, same lighting are the money shots.

That said, these already look MUCH better!

Im not a disbeliever.. But im also all about facts. Im just sayin.. id love to see a before and after in the same setting before dropping coin.

thats all just hot air im blowing.. cuz ill be dropping coin anyways..:)

the ISO ratings look great. what questions me is the RedBull and Animal Crackers in the same shot...

Kind of an odd combination in my opinion...

Mmmm... Animal Crackers. You can keep the Red Bull though, yuck.

Images are looking great, but I suppose we won't get to see full-res or actual R3Ds until the OLPF is done and Graeme gives the new processing algorithms his final blessing. Hard to tell from the smaller stills, but IMO the ISO 4000 looks cleaner than ISO 3200 on the current crop of VDSLRs.

The new Mysterium-X sensor in EPIC S35 is pretty badass. Top is ISO 500 (super clean) and bottom is ISO 4000. The detail in the back curtain on the ISO 4000 is due to stopping down the aperture. I didn't have enough NDs. :-)

Of particular note is the fact that your handheld meter now matches ISO rating.

Jim

Jim,

Would the following information be possible to obtain:
1. Light meter ISO Setting, FPS setting
2. Light meter measurement of key light (as FC or T-stop based on answer to #1)
3. Camera ISO metadata setting
4. T-stop used on lens
5. Color/gamma space/post processing curve description

Thanks! Images look nice! Would love to see it moving along with everyone else.

I'm quite sure that everything you want to know and see will be done fairly soon.

Jim
By RED or do you mean x upgrades will be rolling out public soon?

This is all great news!! New IR blocking filter and i 'm starting in Januari to buy the the new EVF for my Red One and get ready for the Epic...

keep it coming,

Robert M. Berger
