So i'm kind of on the verge of a nervous breakdown now lol. My Scarlet-W body was scheduled to be delivered today to my home address in Hawaii. Although I am not in Hawaii at the moment (I'm in Bangkok now), my sister was home to take delivery of the camera. She had already successfully gotten 3 other packages from RED last week with no problem (lens mount, 240gb ssd, and red station). Today (3/3/2016) I got the notification that FEDEX delivered my package at 4:12pm, but my sister said she never saw a FEDEX truck. She even sent me a text at 4:20pm saying she was still waiting. I checked online and it said "N.Nate" (my name but not me!) had signed for the package and that it was left at the "front desk/reception" even though that's impossible because the address is a house and in a residential neighborhood, there are no apartments whatsoever. We immediately called FEDEX who said that they would check with the driver and get back to us tomorrow. But who knows what's happened with the camera in the mean time! The thought of it is just making me pull my hair out. I know its RED's policy that they don't take responsibility for the cameras once they've shipped, but can anyone help me somehow? Should I report this to the police??? I really wish the option to insure the package had been told to me upfront, as i would have gladly paid for it. I just put too much faith in FEDEX, i thought everything would be fine in the states (since there was no way i would ship the camera to thailand!). It's literally the most money i've ever spent on a single item, I just can't believe this happened. Of all the luck. Anyway I would recommend to everybody ordering these expensive items to get insurance for them before they ship!! Protect yourselves in case the worst thing happens!!
