Just wanted to share how I accomplished a fairly compact solution for ProRes recording, and I/O options for Scarlet/Epic cameras:

it's not as elegant as the RED solutions, but they accomplish the same. I have the Wooden A-box for audio, +1 for 4 pin lemo power and RED monitor/EVF, the Hyperdeck, that records ProRes, and functions as SDI and HDMI video outs and the tilta bracket, that holds the Hyperdeck and has some power outs. It powers the Hyperdeck, and has a few more power options. I chose to add a 4 ptap to the rig, and I feel it's pretty complete.
its not a solution right out of the box, you have to put some things together, maybe fabricate some cables, but all in all I'm pretty satisfied with it.

I was using a similar configuration except with the Hyperdeck in place of the Red SSD recorder - no Raw, just log to Hyperdeck prores. That was all fine over five jobs until the other day when the deck seemed to freak out - only displayed mad rainbow coloured noise when I checked it's output, refused to record. This was in the middle of a shoot day in the middle of nowhere. Ended up completing the job on the stills photographer's DSLR I kid you not.

I love the price and the form of the Hyperdeck, but lost faith in its reliability now, sadly.

That said it should be noted BMD support is pretty damn good.

I'm amazed that you can put that much weight/stress on the A-mount of the scarlet without it loosening.

I always record both. Using one format and the other one as back up. Just in case. Never had to use the back up though...

The only problem with that setup as I experienced was that the Abox outputs interfered with the +1 module's EVF output.

Same here. I much prefer the Action Products audio mount. Much cleaner and feels like a part of the camera. The price hurts though...

I have samevery configration with Epic + Module +1 with 9inch and 5.6 inch + Switronix + JET Pack

Does the Hyperdeck Shuttle record the Epic file naming structure? It looks like it doesn't but looking for confirmation.
It doesn't as of right now. No one knows for sure if its going to happen.
in my case, it's really not that important. If a client wants to deal with the R3D files, they'll do so. If they just want the ProRes stuff, they only work with that, so the ProRes is more about deliverables than proxys...

No. I asked at the BM booth this week. No idea and no answers.

I completely agree with the need to streamline these Recorders, they are such a pain in the ass floating around on Noga arms..
Heres my prores setup, i went with the samuri, mainly because of the RED naming structure and its triggered by the camera record, so you can pretty much just pop it on, loop through, lock the screen, and forget about it.
had to fashion a custom bracket to get it to sit well.
